There’s a job opening I really want to apply for but I’m not sure if I’m qualified.
For privacy I’m not going to name the agency outright but I’m on the SV grading system and have been an F band for four years. I also have a bachelor’s degree and an extra college certification in my agency’s field that I earned. However the position I want to apply for is an I band. My current position has similar duties and uses a lot of the same systems. I work closely with people who have the position I want but the job posting wants a year of H band which I don’t have.
Do you think my education and multiple years of experience are enough to take a shot at it or would it be a lost cause? I could use some honest advice. I want to apply but the H band thing is giving me cold feet.
