Hello all! So on 2/21 I signed a job offer with a contractor. After passing the contractor’s background check, I was notified that my official start date would be 3/25. Therefore, I quit my job, signed a lease, relocated from my state to DC, and basically turned my life around for this job.

About 4 days before I began, contractor’s HR contacts me and tells me that I couldn’t start because I hadn’t finished my SF-85 process, and she just apologized for the “mistake”. Obviously, I have been really stressed considering that I have bills to pay and no job.

It’s been more than 3 weeks since I submitted my SF-85, and I have not heard anything. Some of my previous supervisors said that they have not been contacted. They haven’t pulled my credit report either. Does anyone know how long I have to wait? I feel like I am going insane. I really need to start working. I have no income.

Also, when they pull your credit, does anyone know what it shows up as?
