Post Body

I moved into my 2015 Subaru Forester for the first time last fall and have made do with just USB cords from the lighter outlet in the dash. But I see people talking about cooking and using a fan at night, etc and I would like to upgrade to something that would let me run an iron, a fan, or a hot plate for a little while (not a blowdryer! I hear those are huge energy sucks). I'm not interested in ripping out the dash to install something super complicated, but could someone explain, in layman's English, how the electric works and what my upgrade options are? I've looked into it a little, but the volts and watts and ac/dc lingo confuses the hell out of me 😅 and I don't want to accidentally fry my car. Thanks!
