Bit of a specific scenario, but I was trying to dig through the internet for some information on how to preserve your car battery when you're living in your car, and I found a single post that asked a very similar question but not the same one.
I've been living in my car for about a little over a week and a half now and I'm worried that my habits are going to kill my car battery sooner rather than later, and I'm a little spooked. The post said that you should trickle charge your car battery whenever you have the chance, but I don't have a place to charge my car battery and I'm also terribly broke, so getting a solar charger would be a little bit of an investment. I'm willing to do it, I was just curious if there were any other methods you could use to keep your car topped up or simply at an acceptable level for an extended period of time while living in the car. Should I just take the car on medium length drives (20-45 mins) every other day or so?
Of course, this is a pure stopgap solution and finding a place is imperative. However, I don't know when my homelessness will end, unfortunately. (Any other car living tips are also welcome!)
