Hi all,
I am a forestry worker and wildland fire responder who is planning on relocating to New York. I was thinking upstate because it’s cheap, has lots of trees, and I don’t think I can afford NYC, as much as I like it.
I grew up and currently live near LA, but went to college in Texas and then tried to work in Arizona for a bit.
A very Rough breakups, career failures, and rough living with my parents means I am currently going back to school and considering relocating to New York.
I got hit by the administration’s latest round of government cuts so I’m currently going back to school at the moment (I didn’t study horticulture nor forestry in college so I am now catching up on those credits.
There seems to be plenty of utility forestry and vegetation positions available in the northeast and upstate New York, especially Albany that look Espcially promising. It would also be nice to immediately find a roommate or partner upon arrival, lol
I want to start a new life and move beyond my past. I will never truly cut off my family and past, but I feel going home to LA for the holidays is different from living with them 24/7.
I also would like to find love again. Meet a nice girl, maybe a New Yorker, maybe a fellow transplant, who knows. Someone I can start a relationship or life with without the intrusion from my parents nor the baggage from my ex.
I’m a big nerd and outdoorsman btw. I love comics, good books, gardening, hiking, dog walking, and biking.
I’m DDF and clean, but I’m not super tall and I’m Asian.
If you find this interesting lmk!
