47 DL - looking for a masculine bro on the low, 21-45, good shape

I’m not sure if “Curious Bro” is the right tag. I guess I chose that because the more I read from you guys about Bromances, the less sure I am about what I want.

I’m 47, 6’ 210, good looking executive dad type. One of my kids’ friends went so far to refer to me as a DILF (I overheard, lol). I’m masculine and motivated, but also deeply emotional and long for a deep brotherly, intimate connection with another guy.

I use the word attraction in the most literal sense here, in that I feel attracted to others who are masculine (not macho per se, just not feminine), great communicators, in shape, attractive, and open to a deeper connection with far less limits and hang ups than traditional male friendships. Usually, I find myself attracted to a variety of dynamics, and the age group of 21-47 (my age), that are in decent shape and good looking. I suppose I look for those characteristics because they are things I admire? I’ve lived all those stages of life and therefore I feel I have something to offer. For example, a value the age gap/mentor type connection, the younger dad role (been there) and even the more experienced family man or professional.

In full transparency, I’ve never been quite sure how to find these types of connections and in the past I’ve sought them out in less productive ways. I guess I may have felt to get close to a guy, and have masculine intimacy, it had to be sexual. I now know that’s not the case. I’m open minded, but I want a connection based on way more than that. Naturally, I want someone I can explore what the means and the perfect balance of all of it. That might mean different things to different people, but I’d like to figure it out together.

I live in Albany, NY, but I also travel for work, so I wouldn’t mind finding a bud close by, or someone else who also travels a lot. I visit Salt Lake City for a week at a time 4-5 times a year. Other ideal locations include Boston, Philly, NYC, but let’s see how it all goes. I mention all this because I really do want live meet ups. I need that time, that energy, that connection to be IRL. I often stay at hotels and could always host there. I’m married to a woman, but this relationship will remain private. I just can’t expect anyone else to understand it. I suspect other readers of this may also require some discretion.
