Why have a Posting Structure?

The reason for it is to weed out catfish, spam, and other “bad actors” in our community. We also have a lot of thirsty unreliable posters who copy/paste into multiple subreddits who would really cheapen our R4R culture and the kinds of posts we prefer to curate. Just look to any alternative upstate related subreddits to see the often toxic culture that exists there.

Why have so many Rules?

If you took the time to read the rules and post correctly you’re thoughtful, respectful, and are the kind of community member we would like to curate this subreddit for. Also see above.

Why don’t you allow photos?

It turns subreddits into a sea of men’s genitalia pics and OnlyFans (and similar) advertising.

Why are there a lot of M’s looking for people and very few F’s?

That’s true for the whole internet. Our Mod team weeds out a lot of catfish, Onlyfan Ads and spam so we get a truer representation of who is looking.
