AC syndicate update problem

I've been trying to play AC syndicate for the last 2 days, but it keeps telling me that it needs an update, I update it and it acts like it didn't update and gives me the same update and again tells me to update it the whole time, all the other games are available, except for this one.
The update is around 2.52 GB, and it gets down in 2 seconds. there's also an option to play the game offline but that just doesn't work and tells me AGAIN to update it.
anyone else having the same problem?
