At the moment, clothing in the game is mostly considered easy cloth at late game.
What I propose is the simple rework of clothing. We currently have these slots in game:
•Head: Helmet Balaclava/Bandana Mask Goggles
•Torso Shirt Body Armour Rucksack
•Legs Pants
What I propose is a new layer for the torso, the jacket layer. For example, Parkas will now become a jacket item allowing for the player to wear a shirt and body armour underneath. I also propose a new item that allows a concealed carry harness into the game. Whilst this can be used as additional storage, it may allow you to fit in some crucial supplies without sacrificing your armour as well as the obvious application of storing guns. This should be limited to a 2 x 2 space in order to prevent bigger and more dangerous weapons being stored.
Other jackets such as trenchcoats can be added which have increased space over the parka.
I would also like to suggest an idea that I got while playing fallout 4. A very weak ballistic weave to protect against weaker forms of damage but not higher caliber. This bonus can only be applied to civilian clothes, so the military clothing and spec ops is still the superior choice in terms of protection. To craft it, you would need the piece of clothing, ballistic fibres (very rare military spawn) and max crafting skill. But I hear you say 'Flux! Why wouldn't I just take military gear over this armoured T-shirt!) From my experience in this game, players will go after each other if they can see what's on display. You probably would go up against someone who would be an easy kill, because if they are only wearing a T-shirt with no pants they are probably very under geared. Combined with this and the jackets, you can hide the fact that you're wearing spec ops body armour and have good gear fairly easily.
Finally, I propose that balaclavas and bandanas have a small advantage over the other. For example, I believe balaclavas can mask your scent. Maybe this could decrease the chance of detection from zombies. In the past few weeks, there was also mention of bandanas preventing you from being identified, which would work not just for role-play but in actual PVP situations when you need to find one person but it would take longer to identify them because their face is masked. The same bonus can apply to balaclavas which would make them technically an upgrade from bandanas.
