With the imminent release of Hawaii the community have already set their hearts on water travel being the main form of exploration. A depth charge or sea mine could be a very good way to protect seabases. Placeable only in water, they float on top of the water. They have a relatively large box so if you surround your base with the mines, you will either have to destroy them or fly over them. They should have a higher health than the current claymores/charges, as they are made of metal therefore should be able to resist a little more gunfire than your traditional claymore mine.
