I made this post a while ago, so I want to revisit the idea: When I found out airdrops were added, I got super excited. I was kind of pleased and disappointed at the end result. Honestly, sometimes you don't need more ammo and guns. You might need food, water, and SURVIVAL equipment. I'd like it if sometimes airdrops contained stuff like MRE's, dressings, tools and fuel instead of guns and ammo. (New Stuff) My original intention was to ask Nelson to implement a new kind of survival air drop. However it would be just as great to get stuff like a bottle of water, a crate of fresh lettuce or even one or two MRE's. Don't get me wrong, getting a Hell's Fury is amazing. But if unturned is a survival game, I'd think the Coalition would have the common sense to realise guns aren't the most important survival aspect. Dehydration, infection and starvation will kill you just as easy as a Nightraider.
(Edit) New stuff: Add a new kind of airdrop into the game, the survivalist airdrop. Here will be the following chances of items: •Water Bottle= 27% •Seeds= 29% •Canteen= 14.5% •Fishing Rod= 17% •MRE's= 25% •Fertiliser= 21% •Axe= 24% •Saw= 19% •Full Gas Can= 12% •Scrap Metal= 13% •Dressing= 9.5% •Planter= 27% •Canned Drink/Food= 26.5% •Rain Barrel= 18% "But Flux, why do I need this?" Airdrops are meant to assist you in getting equipment, thus helping you survive. If a freshie gets to an airdrop, he might want to get some of the essential gear to survive since all the fighting occurs in the big areas with the most valuable loot. Besides, once you also start fresh on a mad hard difficulty such as u/JesusRiced's hard mode this would be nice to get. Plus, on a map like Yukon, making this a low drop rate would be heavenly, or to quote a few of my previous commenters: 'I would kill to get a drop full of 100% MREs.' 'This is especially true on Russia... The map gets saturated with military gear pretty quickly.' Besides, whilst guns are good for scrap, you don't really need 3 of each gun. Let's see if we can get this in game! It's balanced, doesn't break the game and makes airdrops more lore-friendly and immersive!
