Does anyone know anything about DevGoose mod?

My son saw the YouTube video that uses DevGoose mod to see from Goose's POV. I found it on Github and have Vortex installed to aid in the mod installation. It won't work though, I have tried a couple different ways of downloading the files but it never works.
Has anyone here successfully gotten this mod to work? My son is obsessed with this game and really wants to play it from Goose's point of view. Any info helps, thanks.
