Howdy everybody, I’m a senior in my BFA program at UNT and I’m set to graduate this semester. I’ve know that I’ve wanted to get a masters degree for several years ( I’m a pretty untraditional student, I’m graduating at 25 w/ a lot of work and life experience), I recently toured a program I adore in Chicago but between significant health and financial issues I’ve had to put that on hold. The 3 schools I’m considering all take transfer credits and require art history classes for the degree which I know I could easily do via UNT. There is also a added benefit of me going attending UNT MFA program because of the resources ( CNC machine, laser cutter, large white walls for archiving)and community which I only began to form in the last year. My question is, would it be ethical for me to do a semester ( or 2) at UNT, then take the credits I’ve earned and go some where else? I know that a lot of grad programs have expectations of finishing your degree at that school and I’m just wondering what your experiences have been? Thanks in advance!
