I’m a second year Commerce student and I’m finding it hard to decide what to major in. I’m not very good at maths-based subjects so Finance and Economics type majors are out of the question. I’m leaning towards either Marketing or Accounting. My marks in acct subjects have been better than marketing and I’ve enjoyed the content (gross, I know) but I’ve heard second/third year accounting courses get quite hard and I’m scared my lack of advanced math skills will make it even more difficult. I’m also a little hesitant about majoring in accounting due to it being almost useless unless getting CA/CPA accreditation which seems like a scary process.
For marketing it sounds much more interesting to me as a whole but mark1012 wasn’t as fun as I hoped and I’ve heard conflicting things about job opportunities in marketing. Is double majoring in both of them a bad idea?
Tdlr: conflicted between marketing or acct as commerce major
