Version control for large projects?

Post Body

I'm used to using Git on web projects, and I've used it for Unreal small projects before too. However, I'm now working on a project that takes up close to 9 GB (the packaged executable with binaries is under 0.5 GB though)

I've tried using Git both on Bitbucket and on Github, but in both cases, my initial commit cannot be pushed through due to size constraints.

Now I have read that Perforce seems to be the preference of large projects, but because my team doesn't work from a single office, I'm not sure where is the best place to setup a server at reasonble pricing. Perforce Helix isn't released yet, what services out there can function at a similar level.

Essentially, I want drop-box speed sync-ing on a project, but with decent version control or at least Check-in/Check-out. Is Bitnami any good for something like this?

Thanks for any pointers!

EDIT: I think I'm definitely sold on Perforce at this stage, but really what I need is the best place to host it at a an affordable rate- and for 10GB project, how long does it take to update? (We're virtual mostly team)
