Gravity or orbital mechanics
Post Body

Backstory: I am new to game development and I want to make a pretty expansive game. I know that with my level of expertise this is pretty much impossible. So instead I am going to do iterative design and development. I have built a few basic clone games in the past in unity. I now want to start working with unreal.

What I need: For my first go i want to make a simple solar system that has basic orbital mechanics. Think of a ship going from planet to planet. I also want to have WASD control for fine moment later once I implement mining and combat. I was thinking something similar to Dyson Sphere Program flight mechanics.

Future Needs: Eventually I want to have multiple star systems that are procedurally generated and you have the ability to mine from asteroids or moons. Build a space station, refine raw resources, do research, build a better ship and explore the stars. I want it to be multiplayer and have combat.

I have found a couple of ways to implement objects rotating around other objects but I'm not sure how well this will work once it is scaled up to multiple star systems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
