Post Body
Hey guys, I'm having a brain fart moment, and I'm hoping someone could help, lol.
What is the best method for detecting if a player is on a ground? I have heaps of different places where the player can land and walk around, and I need to turn simulate physics off once landed. Would I have to go through and add surface type to everything in my level and linetrace, or is there a more simple way?

Could you just grab the upwards/downwards velocity and if the value is equal to 0 the player is on the ground?

I see what you're saying. I agree that using the built in functionality is better. Though, adding a slight delay could be a workaround for those issues. Not sure how that would negatively affect other mechanics, though
