As the title says. I recently read a post about marvel movies and what elicited the best reaction in theaters. I shouldn’t have been surprised, but a lot of people were saying ‘oh in my country we Don’t scream or laugh loud in theaters’ because it’s rude or stops people from focusing on or hearing the movie. A lot of people Don’t go to the movies for this reason. For me, it is WHY I go to the movie.
For one, I never have had the issue of not hearing what is said . I Don’t lose my focus. It just feels great when something crazy happens on screen and the theater absolutely loves it. They voice that excitement I have inside. It feels like collectively, we are all in sync.
I should add, im not a screamer, or a loud person. I never yell. I try to contain my laughter. But I love hearing it from others. I love hearing their reactions.
Spoilers for avengers endgame ahead, but if you haven’t seen it by now oh well. Ex: watching Avengers Endgame in theaters was one of my best movie going experiences ever because when Iron man Snapped his fingers I could feel the cheers of joy through my whole body. it was pure joy. When he subsequently died, the silence was deafening. THAT is what I pay for the movies for.
