I was in Madrid Spain, and was invited to a bull fighting arena. I am from NYC, and had never saw anything too brutal I couldn’t handle.. Assumption: most people think bull fighting is a man in tights known as the matador, facing a raging bull. Which sounds pretty badass Reality: 1.many of the bulls come out the gates frightened literally running around the edge looking for an exit. 2. Before the matadors “time to shine” the bull goes through like 3-5 rounds facing groups of little fuckers in armor on HORSES, with spear type shit to yok up the poor bull! Or like a group of little shits with dagger type blades that they leave inside the damn bull. 3. Then the matador comes out and the crowd of tapa eating bastards go wild and flash tits and shit. 4. Now facing the bull alone, He does the red cape thing and the bull charges him, he evades and looks good doing so. A lot of close calls and tight misses is all the stuff needed for a roaring crowd. (This is what I thought my whole life was the only part of a bull fight. A man in tights with a sword vs a strong angry bull) 5. The show has judges and what is judged is the matadors execution. While the bull charges the matador; he is meant to obviously dodge the horns and simultaneously give a fatal strike to the center or the top neck. For example one of the first young matadors who came out missed this shot and literally had his sword stuck in the bulls neck, the bull ran in terrible pain, they put the matador on the side, (everyone was booing) and then those little fucks came back out on horses and used a tool to extract the sword stuck in the bulls neck. It was so sad to see this destroyed bull frightened and beaten.. 6.The final matador was a famed experience matador; when he came out everyone again went wild like it was Michael Jordan. When his execution shot came he aced it and I saw a 1000lb bull charging at a man stop instantly as its nerves were just destroyed. It stood motionless for a moment.. let out a roar I’ll never forget and fall to its side. The crowd danced and cheered, and I felt like a dick. Additional info: Besides the bullshit rounds leading up to the matador, what bothered me a lot was that I learned sometimes the matador gets killed by the bull, but they don’t let the bull free as a champion of the arena! They kill it all the same!!!!

Overall: What a lame display of a man vs beast, would never go to another one. And recommend to anyone to avoid this and instead go to a cirque de soleil or jerk off at home.
