A lot of issues could be solved by shifting our culture to being more family oriented
Post Body

It really sucks that we are moving further and further away from family values like having families isn’t what keeps society afloat. Think about it, if you could work one job and support your entire family without breaking your back would you still want your significant other to work? More than likely your answer is yes. But why? It’s ridiculous that we think it’s somehow more ideal to have everyone work and then pay out the ass to have strangers watch your children. It ridiculous that our parents are working into their 60s and 70s leaving no one to support the sick and struggling pregnant daughters. It doesn’t make any sense that we strive so continuously to have a career but not to build a support system for our children. I firmly believe that someone should stay home with the children, at the very least until they are in school, Ideally until they are out of the house. If there was a continuous culture of this then there will always be a support system, there will be more incentive for generations to grow in communities and develop roots, and most of all, there would be less competition in the job market forcing companies to pay competitive wages. Right now everyone is working, either to make ends meet or to reach some arbitrary goal society said we should have. Fuck that.
