So Iām 17, and a senior in hs and I had a girlfriend for like a month last year, but thatās legit the extent to my dating experience. I mean maybe itās because I havenāt dated much, and tbh most girls my age only like the guys who are convicted felons anyway, but Iāve realized that dating at this age is so overrated. Like I agree it can give people experience for the future and how to approach girls, but rly? I mean most relationships in hs are toxic, or donāt last long at all. The few like .1% who actually marry their girlfriends from hs are the exception, but why do we make it such a necessity at this age? Like I have a few friends who have girlfriends right now and theyāre like āoh Iām so happy Iām not single, and it must suck to still be. Plus me and my girlfriend love each other to death blah blahā And yet Iām over here being single, and Iām just fine. Like doesnāt it make complete sense to just seriously date after we graduate? Like Iām sry, but i donāt want to date in hs, AND have a kid in the process. Like cmon.
