Okay is it just me or is high school dating so over rated
Post Body

So Iā€™m 17, and a senior in hs and I had a girlfriend for like a month last year, but thatā€™s legit the extent to my dating experience. I mean maybe itā€™s because I havenā€™t dated much, and tbh most girls my age only like the guys who are convicted felons anyway, but Iā€™ve realized that dating at this age is so overrated. Like I agree it can give people experience for the future and how to approach girls, but rly? I mean most relationships in hs are toxic, or donā€™t last long at all. The few like .1% who actually marry their girlfriends from hs are the exception, but why do we make it such a necessity at this age? Like I have a few friends who have girlfriends right now and theyā€™re like ā€œoh Iā€™m so happy Iā€™m not single, and it must suck to still be. Plus me and my girlfriend love each other to death blah blahā€ And yet Iā€™m over here being single, and Iā€™m just fine. Like doesnā€™t it make complete sense to just seriously date after we graduate? Like Iā€™m sry, but i donā€™t want to date in hs, AND have a kid in the process. Like cmon.
