The people who say “video games can turn your brain to mush” are the same people who are so addicted to sports that they get offended
Post Body

My parents, and some people that I know have always told me that since I play video games, that my brain will either turn to mush, or I’ll go dumb or some shit. I’ve always found it funny, because these people, along with others who are on social media saying this stuff, are the same ones who think that sports is everything, and they will always get offended if you say you don’t like sports. Like where I grow up, literally the entire state is obsessed with football to the point that if you say your not a fan of football (like me), then you will literally be labeled as a friendless loser. It’s honestly ridiculous, because I never trash talk people liking football, yet when I play video games, people will say how I am addicted to video games, yet all they do is watch sports so what’s the difference?

EDIT: Just for the record, I’m a teenager and in high school, so playing video games isn’t as frowned upon as it would be like one guy said “if I was 25 and playing video games 25 hours a day, we would have problems.” But who knows, people have their own different opinions on that 🤷‍♂️

EDIT 2: Okay people no need to get personal. This was purely opinion. No need to slam me for it. Sure, some of you guys may be right, and may disagree, but please be civil and don't be assholes about it.
