“People value children, not childhood” is so true.

This may be a quote from one of the Bioshock games but they’re not wrong about that. People use kids for their own selfish reasons, without caring about how the children feel. They are used as pawns, income, leverage, free labor, punching bags, etc.
In most bad/toxic relationships, they are used for baby trapping people and/or turning them against the other parent/family member.
It’s damaging to their mental health and causes problems when they become adults.
