American Thanksgiving food is disgusting

Basically simple as I can put it, Aside from a few dishes (pumpkin pie, stuffing) the rest isn't something I would pay for and take half a day trying to cook. Turkey tastes gamy and dry and I feel like it's cheaper than chicken in terms of taste. My parents and I have a plan to eat crab and lobster on Thanksgiving instead. Last year we did Italian.
