There are plenty of jobs (in the US) that shouldn't exist, and I won't feel bad if the people working them lose those jobs because we get rid of them.
Post Body

I'm talking about those jobs that serve no one but the business itself, it enriches nothing, provides no value, and exists solely because of bullshit legislation that keep it around, or social norms that need to die.

A short list: Car salesmen (and the entire auto lot sales industry) public relations consultants telemarketers brand managers A good chunk of "administrative staff" that can be automated away, and exist solely as political favors "Phone salesmen" who's job is to sell you everything BUT the phone Etc.

These jobs exist to be nothing more than predatory or outdated, and while I do feel for the people working them in the sense that it's income they lose, and hardship they have to face, I feel it is a necessary transition we have to make.
