Reminds me of an old Sopranos quote where a Russian immigrant says “the difference with Americans is you all expect to be happy”
Not saying to be dark and that we shouldn’t be happy, but compared to maybe 90% of the world we should be. This country is no where near perfect, not at all, but no one country is. You also have the ability to complain and moan about what you dislike. If you are tired you can lay on a bed. If you are hungry you can go down the street and get some food. If you are thirsty, most of us can turn on a facet and get some water. You might hate your job, but you at least have regulations as to how long you can work and they don’t border up your windows so you can’t commit suicide.
