I am referring to shows like family guy, american dad, rick and morty, south park, big mouth, etc

I assume this will be unpopular because I have seen so many people on reddit mentioning and quoting these types of shows. So, to preface, I have no intention of completely ripping a part these shows. If you like them, that's great, I'm glad you have something in your life you enjoy. However, I personally don't think they are funny.

The main reason being that I don't typically find gross humor funny, if the joke is that a character or multiple characters are throwing up for an uncomfortable or unnecessary amount of time, then I probably wont laugh. That scene in family guy where Peter tries to help a beached whale and ends up ripping it up with the forklift, a friend of mine showed me that clip laughing her ass off and I just didn't get it.

Vomit jokes, fart jokes, poop jokes, anything like that just isnt my type of thing.

I've tried to watch a lot of these types of shows and went in with a generally very open mind, because I WANT to like them, I always want to enjoy a show I start watching, but these just don't do it for me.

Wanted to watch big mouth because when it first came out, it got a lot of hype, but the characters are kids and in the first episode they show one of the characters genitals and idk, seeing a kids wiener wasnt what I expected nor wanted to experience. That made me just outright uncomfortable. Maybe I'm not smart enough to like rick and morty (joke) or maybe I'm just looking at the wrong shows? But I generally cant take an interest to any of them. Though, to be fair I don't like most comedy for the same reason that most dont suit my sense of humor.

With that being said, it's not the fact they are cartoons either, because I like some "kids" cartoons and some anime.

Edit: people have mentioned shows like King Of The Hill, Futurama, Bobs burgers, and The Simpsons, these are all good shows and I do enjoy them, some more than others admittedly but I appreciate people reminding me of some shows in the genre that I do enjoy and that don't engage or rely on crude humor too much.

Edit 2: many people have suggested I watch Bojack Horseman and I intend to give it a try!
