Wall-to-wall carpeting is far superior to bare wood floors

The interior design establishment would have us all rip out any traces of wall-to-wall carpeting as “outdated.” They declare dark-stained floors the hot look one year, then whitewashed. Now the trend seems to be for non-glossy “hand scraped,” whatever that means. None of this masks the fact that for human beings, most of whom don’t wear shoes in our homes, carpeted floors are the most comfortable and attractive choice for flooring.
