There is a world-wide pandemic that has people losing their jobs, with really no possibility of getting a new one any time soon. I know, I lost mine. I'll be lucky if the next paycheck can pay both my rent and food, and so seeing posts with an absurd amount of awards is kinda aggravating how people are spending cash left and right.
People, some of you will lose your jobs to this shit if you haven't already. And while personally, I think it's getting a little out of hand, people hell of a lot smarter than me disagree, so save your v-bucks. I'll be lucky if I even get unemployment, much less it continues to pay my bills.
I'm not sure how other countries are, but here in the U.S., most of us live paycheck to paycheck, myself included, so losing the job just put an extra nail in the coffin.
Don't do the dumb shit I did. Fight off the urge to get that Spotify subscription, because that 10~ dollars might make or break you later. You don't think it will now, but it will.
Make sure you are have fully stocked pantries and fridges. Even if you don't think you need it. Fill it up. The reality is even if these panic-shoppers are going a little overboard, they're not wrong. And when it comes time YOU are low and need food, Food Lion is probably gonna have empty shelves. Truck drivers are essential right now, but I doubt the large factories are going too stay open very long.
Stay safe, don't spend your money on anything you don't need too. Save your money. Don't spend any cash on anything. From Resubbing on Twitch to special awards here. Just. Save. The money.
Hopefully, this shit blows over by August.
Tl;Dr save your goddamn money and keep your kitchen filled with food.
