If you don't want to cook, you should do the dishes

Obviously there's exceptions, stay at home spouses or division of chores etc.

I'm thinking of families, most couples or group living situations. If someone cooks for you (or a whole group) and you ate, you should absolutely volunteer to at least help clean not just your own damn plate but the pots and pans etc.

Saying "Thanks for cooking" and doing nothing else is shameless lip service.
