Please donât take this as I donât like New York City or think itâs overrated because I donât. I have been twice in high school and loved it!
Itâs just not somewhere I wanna ârent my life awayâ.
Many 20 somethings move here and become broke because theyâre paying half their income to rent which isnât the wisest idea in my opinion because I believe in the 50/30/20 rule.
If you canât live comfortably by yourself without a roommate after 32 I donât understand LIVING there.
Visiting hell yeah! New York City is very cosmopolitan and extremely diverse.
I am from Detroit so if you count a very red line of White and Black Americans across 8 mile diverse as well as a splash of Middle Easterns in the region then I am not sure what to tell you. Detroit is not a place to live.
Iâd say Montreal is a good city. Reminds me if New York City (big city) and Detroit (everyone knows one another) had a French twist on a city.
Big enough to be a big city but not enough to get eaten up.
