Most older games are only considered good because of nostalgia.

I would like to start off with this simple statement: 8.0 is superior to 1.0 versions. Why people would think an old mmo is good because it was the first version of that mmo is absolutely idiotic. A game that lacks features, content, and casual play styles doesn’t work these days. Take WoW right now, it’s been circle jerked to hell at this point about how “Bfa bad vanilla good” whilst ignoring that modern day WoW is superior in every way to a game that came out a decade and a half ago. Playing the old game doesn’t make those experiences come back.
