I don’t think things on Reddit being “reposted” is that big of a deal.
Post Body

I told myself if I saw it again, I’d post in r/unpopular opinion. Anyways, I look at new posts primarily on the threads I follow and a lot of times, when I see something I like, I’ll go into the comments to enjoy it with other people and see who else likes it.

A percentage of the time, like 25 percentish, there will be comments commenting to whomever that this is a repost. For some reason, that innately makes me enjoy it less. Like “awe this dude just stole it from someone a week ago. Next!”

The more I see it happen though, the more I realize that whatever is being reposted is stuff I’ve never even seen before and likely would have never seen if it wasn’t reposted. I shouldn’t enjoy any of theses things less at all because it’s kind of a service to me whoever is reposting it.

So yeah, I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal. If you’ve already seen it, keep scrolling.
