Hear me out if you don't agree or never tried it...
Remember when you were at that age that you had the opposite of logic? You know like that first time you went camping and were so mesmerized by the campfires dancing flames, heat, and crackling embers that you decided to ignore your natural instincts and try to touch it.... Well, my first time using tinfoil as a kid I ignored those same instincts. While looking at the shiny, metallic material I thought, "I wonder what that would feel like if I crumpled it up and chewed it?"
Like most people I know who did the same, I basically involuntarily spat it out after my first bite.... But unlike most other people I tried it again. Same result. Then again. And again. Everytime I would bite down, I'd get an intense sensation on some of my teeth and felt like I HAD TO stop chewing and make a weird face. But then I didn't. Just kept chewing. The feeling changed from discomfort to kind of satisfactory.
Now I like the sensation i get when I roll a ball of tinfoil up (not too dense so I can fully bite down teeth touching) bite down and feel the foil "shock" both top and bottom fillings while biting down harder for more of a kick. Helps wake me up in the morning.
