Yes, I am a furry. I don't have a suit, but would like one one-day. I attend the convention that happens in my city every year. I'm sometimes active on furry related sites, but not often. That being said, I don't think furries deserve the shit they get. People see them and scowl and immediately think it's a perverse sexual thing. They think of that stupid CSI episode and that's it. For most furries, such as myself, it's not a sexual thing. It's about wanting to create a character that is everything you are not. In my situation, it's a cocky confident character that is friends with everyone and won't take shit from no one. Furries acknowledge there are some in the fandom who are gross and perverse, but shun them. Parties of that nature aren't allowed at upstanding conventions, nor is art or behavior of that sort allowed in public. Most furries are grossed out by those that take it too far. If you want to understand what we're about, go to a convention. The one in my city is a dance and art party and really awesome. No bad behavior really ever happens, and if it does the offenders are kicked out. Most furries just want to make others smile and forget the harsh realities of life for a moment. A lot of furries will visit children hospitals if they can to brighten their day. Long story short and a lot of rambling, furries are nice people. You probably know one. And it's not a big deal.
