Let's face it. It's women that have fetishized misogyny(and objectification as well). Take the phenomenal success of the show "Mad Men" and the "50 Shades" franchise. No one can deny 1) both series were loved by literally millions of female viewers 2) when misogyny and objectification are crucial ingredients of both the series.
No, men didn't brainwash women to 'internalize' misogyny. We can't do that anymore. The brainwashing business was over a long time ago. Get real, there is no way for men to have women consider themselves as an 'object'. Besides, if it's that easy for a group of people to plant some nonsensical beliefs in another group of people's minds, why did we give up so easily believing people of certain races are inherently inferior, for instance?
The thing is, feminists have never suggested that what a politically-correct sexual relationship is like exactly. Feminists only argue repeatedly movies glorifying objectification of women by men like "50 Shades" is what women shouldn't want.
Well, black people don't fetishize slavery at all, that is there is no such movie for them just like "50 Shades" but in the pre-civil war years. (Like, romanticizing love between a white slave owner and one of his female slave.) Because African Americans never 'wanted' being slaves. In that case, what does the huge commercial success of "Mad Men" or "50 Shades of Grey" tell about women's deepest desires?
