I hate how it's so popular and glorified to hate an old partner. Now if the relationship was terrible, I get it. But I can't stand that will they wont they nonsense. I hate the "ughh I 'cant' help myself" mentality.
It's like grow up. If a relationship ends then it ends. There don't need to be trumpets announcing how "over it" you are. You dont need to "stunt" on your ex. Do you know how unhealthy that shit looks and sounds?
Like you were with this person and supposedly loved them but now you're not in a relationship, you hate them? Huh. Shit like that makes me feel like most relationships are built on false pretenses. You never loved the person, you loved the idea of what you could have with them. Now that they've shown that they're an autonomous human being. Now that they've shown they don't have to subscribe to your fantasies of love. You hate them? Grow up. Leave them alone.
Or actually be a decent person and understand the fact they don't want a romantic relationship with you doesn't make them a terrible person.
