Is an idiot choice to make and is, in my opinion, the reason the divorce rates are as high as they are and why there are so many broken up families around the world. There are various other reasons for that too but I’m talking about failed marriages due to sheer incompatibility from the get go.

Me and my partner have been together for 16 years from high school. We’re not married and only just having our first child. I know her inside out and there are no surprises or “red flags” I don’t know about. I KNOW she’s the one, and that’s why even at 16 years we aren’t in a particular rush to get married because we already are in our minds, we’ll get the paper for it soon enough.

I seriously questions someone’s thought process of getting married within a year or two and then being confused on how they “didn’t know this person at all!, they weren’t the person I thought they were!!”

Within 1-2 years, do you really know someone at all except for face value? You might think you do, but you don’t. Only time will tell who a person really is, and 1-5 years isn’t enough.
