I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I understand that it can be controversial.
My wife has a curvy body with wide hips, so any regular bikini inevitably becomes a thong on her when she walks or lies down (as if the bikini had a mind of its own). In the past, she reported discomfort when wearing larger bikinis for the above reason and the constant need to pull the rolled-up cloth from inside her buttocks.
In addition, large bikinis (full coverage) create a weird, awkward and unnatural appearance by dividing the buttocks and deforming the natural contour and beauty of the female butt.
A long time ago, I encouraged her to wear thong bikinis and today she feels very comfortable and confident wearing them normally. However, there is a vague idea that curvy women in thong bikinis look vulgar, as if the choice is acceptable only for women with slim/fit shapes.
So that's it, obviously this issue is not a problem for us, but certainly thong bikinis are more appropriate for thicker bodies because they provide a better fit for this type of body.
Still... style is important, right? After all, that's the rule for women's fashion, I guess.
Our profile is open, dude. However, she just hasn't wear large bikinis in a long time...

I absolutely agree. Thong bikinis should be more normalized.
