The world evil gets tossed around a lot. Religion is evil. Firearms are evil. Businesses are evil. Landlords are evil. But the truth is none of these things are inherently bad and it’s the people who make them seem that way.
I was raised to believe in god and it has never made me want to hurt someone because of that alone. Yes religion has been used as a banner to hide behind when committing evil deeds but it was the people who did this. Crusades and other horrible things happened but they were done because someone first said “I could totally use this as an excuse.”
Firearms are the same along with the other examples. Used correctly they can help people and do better. A vast majority in fact don’t randomly cause harm to others but we have been trained to view the minority as the majority. I can hate someone who owns a firearm just because I’m told I should. I can’t hate a ceo simply because he is a ceo. I can’t hate a landlord only because he owns and rents out property.
Do all things in life have bad potential? Yes. But they have the opposite potential as well. Even poisonous things used correctly can be made into cures. It’s the people who corrupt them. Just tired of people telling me I have to hate something. People need to change.
