As games graphics keep getting better and better, obviously it becomes more demanding on your GPU and the prices seem to keep inflating.
This wouldn't be so bad, but it seems like devs can't keep up with the demand and schedules, leaving games very unoptimized and sometimes buggy too. Games seem incredibly complex and difficult to make now and it seems pointless when they don't have enough time and or budget.
It felt so good playing a game like Planetside 2, the 12 year old game looks good enough to me and I get 200 FPS, fully utilizing my 1080P monitor in a game with massive battles.
While COD Warzone has my PC struggling to keep 60 FPS, despite COD probably capable of having a huge budget with its iconic background.
I want to add, I love Warzones gun Smithing and many more of its game mechanics. But the performance bugs me because it is a competitive game.
My PC has the best parts in every single category, except for my GPU, a 1080 ti ftw 3. A card like that being a bottleneck at 1080P feels ridiculous.
I would love it if all competitive games could be run at 144hz on a 1080 ti.
I am less picky about single player games running fast since it makes more sense for them to be eye candy.
COD warzone has no need to try so hard to look good when they KNOW it runs so poorly, wouldn't it be better if it looked more like a older game so we could all have a buttery smooth experience?
Hell, people STILL say the new warzone looks ugly, so from that point of view it's a complete waste of performance. It looks like it has a "blurry filter" over its otherwise great looking graphics.
But I still prefer PS2 looks because even tho it has less visuals, the visuals look crisper.
Atleast ARMA 3 tries to be a realistic mil Sim, and Sim games should push limits.
