As a person who pays attention to instrumentals, I really think Spring Day is too noisy and I can't understand how people can listen to it like a ballad.
Right at the start of the song, you can hear the distorted sound (the one that sounds like BS&T backwards) loud and clear, and it's borderline screechy. It's present most of the time, which I think is very distracting.
The percussion I thought was too complicated and I could hear it a lot louder when I listen to it on loud speaker. The piano sounds like it's fighting with the percussion and it gets drowned out most of the time.
There are other sounds that are more lowkey such as that zipper/buzzing sound but it adds more unecessary noise rather than harmony.
Overall, I thought there was too much going on in the instrumentals. They're quite disjointed and it distracts away from the emotional singing. Despite its lyrics, Spring Day is not a song I would listen to whenever I feel sentimental.

I agree. One of my pet peeves with Bangtan’s music is that they do a little too much with the background music and production of their songs, which sometimes makes their music not very easy listening for me. E.g. I much prefer euphoria’s stripped down version over the original one.
