Former Florida AP (Universal & WDW) and experienced HHN goer (me: 34F, Mom & her partner are both over 70). I've tried explaining to them that during Halloween season there's going to be some differences, as well as differing ticket types and possibly event-only schedules (early closing, to switch to HHN, for example). Will they still be able to get their money's worth? I think they would be better off scheduling a private ACTUAL Universal Studios tour (backlot vibes, like the VIP one or something) for a view of sound stages, sets, and such. I think they have a warped sense of what the parks are going to be like, and perhaps even what they'll see if we just "go to Universal". Am I right or can we just go to the park as normal and get a full day out of it? I think they want to see the real Studio buildings, not do rides and see 'lands' (HP, Nintendo, etc.).
Universal Studios VIP Experience is an option if I can convince them it's what they should do, with your guidance. This also gets me a full day of Express Pass for the good rides they won't go on, so I'm inclined to nudge them in this direction. =}
The regular daily tours (Upper Lot) appear to only be running thru sometime in August as of today (4/5)
October tickets and HHN tickets are not currently on sale. The farthest available is September
Thoughts? Advice? Input? Anything is helpful, we're aware HHN in CA is not like FL, but I would still like for them to have a good time (and not get their pants scared clean off by overlapping with HHN). TIA! <3
