Registering a used Apollo Twin?

i just got a used apollo twin thunderbolt (silver) off of reverb. when i try to register it as a used product on the uad website, it only gives me the option to download software for windows when i need mac.

when the unit is on and plugged in, i can turn the preamps up in console and make other changes, so it’s coming through the cable… but system preferences won’t let me use it as an audio device or anything. what gives?

edit - i should add that i have previously already installed an Apollo 8pre and used it for years without issue.
