apollo twin x showing not connectred - win 11

hi all. i was able to get my win 11 i9 13900hx laptop to recognize my twin x in order to install everything but now the thunderbolt software shows it's physically connected, but also shows "not connected" in the info. when i click it takes me to "approve devices" but there is no list to choose from, it's blank.
