I have tickets S.F. to Sydney in January but might need to cancel the trip unfortunately. I'm a Southwest guy usually because I mostly just travel on the west coast -- they've just changed back to no expiration date but it looks like United flight credits expire after one year. I'm looking to do this trip in February 2026 instead which will be just outside the window.
If instead of canceling my flight I just continuously rebook is, it that a strategy that will work? Are there any other strategies that might work?
