Emergency Exit Rules

Post Body

Was on a regional run UAEx flight operating an RJ-45. A family was split up and they had 18C/D and two seats a few rows back. They did the right thing and offered the Exit rows to someone to switch. This is where issues started. The accepting people were a dad and his 12 year old son. He walks up and asks the FA what are the rules, she says she thinks 15. Man tells FA he is 12 but eats like a 15 year old. She lets it go and we move on. First of, FA was an idiot. Second the kid was tiny, probably didn’t weigh much more than the door itself.

I was in the single side exit row, tired and not wanting to miss getting home so I was quiet. But the FA come on…should have I said something?
