We are going to France around November 9. Going Business Class on miles is outrageous these days. 200-295k and up. Currently we are booked in Premium Plus IAH to MUC then LH to Nice in Economy. Got a great deal at 50k each. Now 180k!!!
I check every day for a break in Biz class on UA but nothing has shown up except a couple of 20 hour trips with two connections and long layovers.
Today I see one on AC for 80k miles. About 16 hour total transit. IAH to Montreal in an A220 Economy. About 2.5 hours connection. Then an A330 SwissAir to Zurich in BIZ. About 2.5 hour connection then Biz to NCE.
Overall, not bad but I have three questions.
Iโm concerned about connecting in Montreal in November. Can that be an issue?
How is Swiss business class on the A330?
How does international connection work in Montreal? Do we have to go through immigration and security between AC and Swiss Flights.
Iโm not sure itโs worth swapping from UA Premium Plus, though the price is right. Flying nonstop to MUC is easier and connecting in MUC is always super easy.
Thoughts, please?
