Let me briefly tell my story I was supposed to fly on premium economy from Amman, Jordan to Atlanta on April 15. Due to unrest in the region my flight was cancelled and my flight was rebooked for April 22. That flight then got cancelled and I was rebooked for May 1st. I then rebooked myself to Polaris and chose April 27, which surprise surprise just got cancelled.
They’re telling me my options are fly on United April 29 which I’m sure will get cancelled, fly economy with Lufthansa and ask for a refund (which is calculated by the refund department), and finally cancel the ticket and get a refund (also calculated by the refund department). I’m inclined to just cancel the ticket and book with another airline but will I lose a substantial amount of my money? I don’t trust them at all because I was on the phone speaking to a supervisor for 90 minutes and I got nothing out of it.
What do you guys think?
Edit: Is the refund department trustworthy or will I lose my money?
