I’m silver for first time through Marriott status lol.

I almost never fly United. Usually prefer Delta or JetBlue.

But since I have status now, I may use it on the very few routes where it could make sense for me.

I understand the domestic benefits in terms of upgrades, baggage, etc. pretty clear on the website.

I don’t understand benefits on the following:

1. International Flights on United
2. International Flights on something listed by United, but operated by e.g. Swiss Airlines or Lufthansa.

Could someone help explain to me the international benefits, particularly with respect to upgrades on a (non-basic) economy/main cabin ticket?

And yes, i know silver is at the bottom of the status totem pole
